We need your support!

The North Kohala Tool Library needs your kokua and there are numerous ways to assist us.

  • Volunteer - NKTL NEEDS YOU! We are completely volunteer-run and always seeking more volunteers to help. We are always looking for Tool Librarians, tool technicians, education coordinator, and more. Tool librarians are asked to commit to one shift per week or every other week. Click here to fill out a volunteer questionnaire and we will get in touch with you to get you involved in this community project.

  • Funds - We are constantly seeking funds to help us keep the doors open and improve! Money is needed for rent, utilities, tools, repair parts, database management software, insurance, various administrative needs and, eventually, staff. The North Kohala Tool Library is a non-profit project fiscally sponsored by Friends of the Future a 501c3 non profit umbrella based in Waimea whose mission is to “facilitate a vision of lokahi ~ harmony and balance ~ among the diverse people of Hawaiʻi and encourage each person to contribute their deepest values, to create shared vision, and to continuously improve our communities.” To find out more, click here.
